Gonzo, James isnt slow. He just always moves in slow motion on the field. He moves in slow motion so when he actually catches a pass or does make a tackle you can see the whole play develop.

Is there anyway that the Over 30's will try and keep the hockey-style line changes to a minimum? Or at least limit them to one every 5 minutes?

Being the gambling man I am, I have set a line for the game. With the addition of PBB and "The Loud Mouth of the South" James Thompson, the spread has dropped to 5.5 with the Under 30's favored. It would be lower but the anticipation is that Rios and Thompson will be on the wing. When its one wing playing "ole!" it's one thing but the Swami says 2 is too many... Under's 21-15 with all 15 points from the overs coming off PBB's foot from 40+ out.

I know Sean sent out that message about pictures of wives. But be sure to watch if you have daughters as well over 18. Dirty Doug very well could show up, and if there is beer on the sideline they better be ready to be harassed.

Rumor has it that a former fullback with Pat Fritz speed and Nate Kusner anger will be lining up with the over 30 side. Bring your mouthgaurd, I haven't hit anyone in over a year.

Ahhh the '80's.... Thompson Twins, Wham, Thomas Dolby, Asia, Duran Duran, hair bands and glam rock...Poison, Motley Crue, Twisted Sister, Scorpions, INXS... and 1989 the year I joined the Irish with the likes of Scootch, Solly (peach fuzz face with braces!), Jack Cecil Way, Jeff Timmons, Red-no other name necessary...Those "old timers" may sound familiar to you younger lads..( I know Timmy, you were only 4 years old) but they were a wild bunch back in the day when we had almost 4 sides! You don't want to see the return of Greg Irish or Joe Pelletti...they would eat some of you alive! The '90's brought a smaller club size but the nastiness returned when we got Muzz, Albi and Ram... I still shudder at the thought of Albi's head buts. Then there was Ed "Bam Bam" Vinter...I hope we can pull him out of retirement against the junior Irish... One year he put 2 guys out for a season....and they were on his own team at practice! He didn't wrap when he tackled he clotheslined people...I am getting psyched just thinking about this match! I, for one, am looking to see who the "bounty" get's put on this season....ANYBODY?

Listen, James, when you win MARFU and take the the boys to Nationals, you'll be able to be "El Presidente" for as long as you'd like. Until then, you're only "club president" (notice the lower case). El Presidente, you should know better than anyone that when we lose it is the Captain's fault. When we win, then the President is the one to credit. 6 days left before the U30's have to give up the title.

GREAT WEEKEND! Thanks to all the players that came out for both teams, all the fans that braved the weather, the rain & mud gods for taking speed out of the equation, and the excutive committee for all the hard work leading up to and during the weekend.
